graduation and hong kong

Studio shots are tempting lures! we paid a whopping extra $300 for some extra prints because of the ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ mentality even tho i had complimentary studio photos offered by NTU Alumni Club.
sneakily took photos from the studio’s computer after the photoshoot at Picture Me although i don’t think we were allowed to since the studio forces us to pay exorbitant prices even for a 4R photo!
oh and did i mention that i hate my eyes? sooo ugly, argh.

my favourite shot!

good ol' graduation shot

cousins at Mac! having cheap milkshakes and fries after spending too much on shopping.

WOW!
that marks the end of one of the most enjoyable family trips.
back to Singapore,
Hong Kong was fantastic. can never get enough of that busy and vibrant city, the city that never sleeps.
oh did i ever mention i may wanna take up residency in Hong Kong? haha joke!
but seriously, love the food, shopping and bustling environment..
days leading up to taking graduation shots is quite a hassle,
have been for hair treatments and facials to prepare for the photoshoot tomorrow.
hope it turns out well.
SOLAR
June 13, 2009
and so, camp came and flew by really quickly.
i’ve never been a fan of camps (memories from camps in secondary school still haunt me pretty badly), and i’ve always dreaded going for outdoor, physically draining camps. initially i was a little apprehensive about camp, cause i don’t even enjoy being a member of camp, how can i lead a group and get them enthusiastic if i myself, hate those useless activities and cheering?
but SOLAR was miraculously, the most awesome camp i’ve ever attended! it was amazing how God moved through the entire camp, every second of it. i believe everyone got something out of this camp that they will never forget for the rest of their lives. and although we lost, i never regretted being part of Venus. Different personalities trying our best to work together towards a common goal- an invaluable, priceless experience that really changed my perspective towards life.
in other words, CAMP SOLAR was meaningful. something i never experienced in previous camps.
relationships, with God, family and friends are really the things that will push me through life, nothing more, nothing less.

exactly 20 years since the Tiananmen square protests, embellishment of the struggle for freedom of expression.
student martyrs who were killed, banished or exiled for the sake of democracy.
people who were or are still seeking for the truth behind the entire bloodshed, sometimes historical facts can really get contorted, leaving us with multi-faceted mirrors of ‘truth’.
indeed, behind every evolutionary change, lies a revolution.
and here is the legendary photo of the unknown man (they couldn’t verify his identity even up to today) facing 4 tanks before the mass slaughter started. insignificant individual fighting against ideological force. no wonder Karl Marx failed.
