gonna start work 28 June! ![]()
better enjoy my last few weeks of SCHOOL HOLIDAYS to the fullest.
weekends!
May 24, 2009
i’m really starting to enjoy weekends.
without thinking about writing, studying or worrying about not studying enough for that matter.
in other words, life without deadlines and exams rocks!
on Friday, I took the final few advantages of holding a tertiary student pass. Rovin and I paid rather low prices for one of the Singapore Arts Festival shows, Sutra. The chereograph and fusion of East-West elements in the dance show was really good; basically it shows how space can be fully utilised by physical bodies. There were, however, only a few WOW moves that kept us fully captivated through the entire 80 mins (or less). Good thing we got the tickets at an affordable price!
Saturday- was Baby Ralph’s birthday! His birthday party was really cool, with a Mickey Mouse theme and everything.. some relationships, remain weird and unresolved.
Sunday- Flea Market at Yishun with the girls and rovin who was so kind to drive there! it was the first time i’ve ever participated in such a flea market! brought like 3 bagfuls of books and old clothes to sell, but couldn’t get everything sold though. plus, aunties and maids really know how to haggle! i concede defeat at some point of time! good experience though, since I’ve never tried to sell old stuff through such avenues. we earned quite a fair bit, can’t wait for the next one in June!
nostalgia
May 19, 2009

1 year 2 weeks exactly.
i remember the first two weeks in Grand Canyon where we got to know so many people from all walks of life.
gradually, we were getting used to life there. mostly without modern technology but still, we didn’t feel paralyzed at all.
i wonder how Pastor Debbie, Pastor Brian and little baby Mercy is. Mercy’s sibling should be due soon.
kinda wish we could be there to contribute what we can to the church.
guess i’m having a love-hate relation with the word ‘nostalgia’.
the past few days have been eventful.
i’ve been out almost everyday and you know, my bank account is emptying itself like running water.
and is the Great Singapore Sale in May?
cause it definitely doesn’t help that all the shops I enter are plastering the word SALE right smack in my face.
oh and did i even mention that i don’t earn anything now? like zero, nil, zilch.
no tuition, no nothing, and i really dislike being dependent on pocket money cause it makes shopping and spending look guilty.
poor as a bleaching cow, whatever that is. need to start work like real sooooooon.
Pastor Edwin gave a really good sermon today.
Preparing for Amazing Blessings.
The sense of dread loomed over a few days ago, when i saw that results will be out on 22nd May.
The feeling was just like, rewind 4 years ago, when I was waiting for posting of university placements, if i even get anything at all with my ugly grades.
will God allow amazing miracles to happen once again?
to prepare us for His blessings, God leads us to remember His faithfulness.
when was the last time that I actually reminded myself to be thankful for everything He has done?
Forgotten. Abandoned.
whatever happens, second upper, second lower, I sense that your amazing blessings are at work.
mother’s day

charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised
-Proverbs 31:30
a tribute mummy and all the mothers in the world,
your selfless sacrifice
and everlasting love.
it never is easy, but you never gave up. thank you mummy!
